I don’t really know why I didn’t do this sooner, but here are my Top 10 Films of 2011:

10. Winnie the Pooh
9. Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy
8. Take Shelter
7. Hanna
6. Attack the Block
5. Drive
4. The Adventures of Tintin
3. Trollhunter
2. The Artist
1. The Sunset Limited

I realize that, for those of you that like film as much as I do (and please note, I say film, not just movies), that my #1 pick is a tad bit off the cuff, given that it was a made-for-TV film. However, out of all the films that came out this year, that was one of the few that I can remember really haunting me after seeing it, and I am very much looking forward to buying it next month on DVD. The film (adapted from the play of the same name) proves that sometimes, to create an engrossing tale with dynamic performances, you need only put two talented actors (or actresses) in a room and let them work.

That, and Samuel L. Jackson is the fucking man!
